Isn’t It A Little Early For A-Rod To Be Embarrassing Himself?

A-Rod on his maligned, cheating-but-not-a-cheater teammate: “If I had a daughter, I would want ‘em to marry Andy Pettitte. The age difference might be a little awkward, but in today’s day and age anything is possible.”

You know, he’s right. In a world where players’ wives and fathers are using and supplying HGH, anything is possible.

Andy Is No Saint

1. Andy, if you don’t see a cheater in the mirror, if you don’t feel like you cheated, then you don’t really believe what you did was wrong. If you don’t believe it was wrong then all you are apologizing for is getting caught. This actually makes sense coming from the man who felt he must ‘answer to God’ only after his embarrassing secrets were discovered.

2. We just aren’t buying the excuse that heart trouble led your dad to HGH. That makes no sense. Maybe you asked dad to buy it so that it could not be traced back to you. Interesting that both Clemens and Pettitte would sell family members down the river to try to protect their reputations.
